NEWS FOR MEMBERS
Updated 2nd January 2017
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We hope you have all had a great Christmas and new year celebration.
Hopefully most of our platinum members have received their goody bags by now and the remaining few should arrive with you next week.
As I am sure you are all aware Nobby has not run over the Christmas period as per the plan. Unfortunately he has picked up a tendon injury (his leg), this is not life threatening and in fact is a very common injury that most racehorse incur during their racing career. The injury became apparent a few days before Christmas when the boxing day entries went out, we have had the vet up to scan his leg and he confirmed the injury. Nobby is fine and in no pain but this does unfortunately mean he will not race again for at least a year, if he were to return into training at all. One year gives his tendon adequate time to heal. He is now on box rest for 8-12weeks where he is happily munching hay all day long. Then he will be turned into the field to re-cooperate. Along the way he will no doubt still be starring in some of the WocketWoy videos just without the galloping bits!
We wish you all well and will keep you updated via our facebook, twitter- @wocketwoyteam, instagram- wocketwoy_official and our new YouTube channel with how he is doing.
NOBBY’S RACING PLAN
These are the dates and races Nobby is likely to be entered for. Please note we make multiple entries at different race meetings over a short space of time. This does not mean he will run at them all, we do this to give us the best chance of finding the most suitable race with the most suitable conditions for him. This is also just a guide and does not mean he will definitely be entered or race. Many factors can dictate whether he races or not including ground conditions which can change very suddenly and the wellbeing of Nobby is always paramount. You can also keep upto date with his entries and check the opposition by going to www.racingpost.com type his name ‘YA HAFED‘ into the search bar and you will be able to view his form and entries. We will however update you nearer the time when it is decided where he goes.
